My First Blog.....EVER!

Hi bloggers. Ok so I have no followers yet but if you write they will come....I think! Last night was my second "successful" sewing project. My daughter is approaching her 1st birthday and those little baby hooded towel just aren't cutting it for her anymore. I saw a tutorial somewhere on how to make a hooded towel that was for big kids, It looked simple enough so I thought I would give it a shot. We got a billion white towels for our wedding so I used one of those and made the hood part out of a hand towel. Well my needle broke on my sewing Machine and I freaked out but my husband came to the rescue and calmed me down and we fixed it. Back to sewing. I followed the tutorial and it turned out great. i was so excited. I ran from my so called "craft room" to show my husband, who laughed and told me my daughters new towel looked like the costume of a certain hate group organization. WHAT? are you serious??? I just slaved over this (for 15min but still). The princess was asleep so I had to wait to see what it looked like when she woke up this morning. As soon as she woke up I put a hooded towel on her head. "thanks mom" I just stood there thinking.....my hubs was right. It looks just like that. I laughed at her and she pulled it off and started playing peek-a-boo with me. It made me happy that she thought my project was good. Good enough for peek-a-boo anyways. I figure it will get the job done and I was pretty proud of myself. It seems sturdy and it looks decent! Plus she is adorable in anything (mommy bias I know) so it wasn't that bad. My second sewing project complete!
